J. D. PACE, 91, died Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at his home in Hawley. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home in Anson. The burial will be in Hawley Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home in Anson.

Born July 24, 1931, Stephens County, J. D. was a son of the late Rual and Lottie (Roundtree) Pace. He graduated from Breckenridge High School and married Laura Bigham on May 18, 1957. J. D. served in the United States Air Force where he was Tech Sergeant Flight Engineer. He later retired from the United States Post Office. J. D. was a member of the Hawley Baptist Church.

J. D. was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, four sisters, a son (Jerry Pace), a grandson (Justin Pace) and great-grandson (Braxton Pace).

Survivors include two sons, Jay Pace (and wife, Ardella) of Abilene and Jimmy Pace (and wife, Rhonda) of Hawley; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
