Lee Lovelady

Lee “Scooter” Lovelady passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2022. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Clearfork Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Lee is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; his children, daughter Angela Ceniglis and her husband Tom of Abilene, daughter Leslie Mealem and her husband Shy of Lubbock, son Todd Lovelady of Hawley, daughter Dee Parker and husband Kurtis of Clyde; his grandchildren, grandson Austen Ceniglis and wife Melanie of Abilene, grandson Chandler Caddell and wife Ramzi of Abilene, granddaughter Brooklyn Gillit and husband Caston of Abilene, grandson A.J. Ceniglis and wife Emily of Abilene, granddaughter McKenzie Sheppard and husband Colby of Whitesboro, grandson Kilan Parker of Clyde and granddaughter Bristol Lovelady of Hawley; great-grandchildren Spade, Thomas, Mila, Magnolia, Kiptyn, Ella, Jolee, Olivia, Brazos, and Callahan; Sisters Brenda Hargrove of Abilene, and Terry Lovelady of Hawley and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Doris Lovelady. Lee was born on November 30th, 1949 in Abilene, Texas to Leo and Doris Lovelady. Lee married the love of his life, MaryAnn Newberry on March 11, 1978 in Abilene, Texas. He was a member of the Clearfork Baptist Church in Hawley. Lee loved his family fiercely and unconditionally. He could always be found riding horses, going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, teaching at his church-Sunday school classes or watching old westerns. He was a friend to many & loved by all. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be given to Clearfork Baptist Church 14116 US Hwy 277, Hawley, TX 79525 or to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1651 Pine St., Abilene, TX 79601.
